Erin is a long-time Purcellville resident, along with her husband and four children. From working with pregnant moms in need and their growing families, to the Girl Scouts, and as a substitute teacher and now a parent liaison in Loudoun County Public Schools, Erin has professionally and a volunteer, witnessed both the many services provided to families in Loudoun County and the needs that remain. Career counseling and educational opportunities for young people in professions that do not necessitate a college degree is one of those needs. TradeUp Loudoun was the idea that blossomed from recognizing that need. Erin is pursuing an M.Ed in Educational Psychology through the University of Virginia.

Christa Gibbs has a long standing interest in Education. While obtaining a Masters in International Transactions from George Mason University (GMU), Christa worked for GMU’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offices for 8 years. As the CPE Director of their Herndon office, Christa successfully identified professors and industry experts to offer professional development training programs marketed to the public as well as provided on-site training to private industry as well as non-profit and government organizations, such as Amtrak and NASA. She realized that the key to our region’s economic success was continued retraining of skill sets within each organization, both public and private, to remain current. She recently worked for a local Montessori school.
Marilyn Gugliotta, along with her husband,Tony, have lived in Western Loudoun County for 29 years. Together they have four sons. Marilyn has worked in healthcare for over 30 years, and currently works for Loudoun County Public Schools. A dedicated community volunteer, she has volunteered with her church, the PTA, the PTO, and Scouts BSA

Marilyn believes every child should have an opportunity to have a career, and skilled trades are an excellent option.

While her boys were younger she took time off and was heavily involved in their school’s PTO and band parent organizations. She realizes that the college path is not for everyone and is excited to help share alternative options with our young people.
Melissa Roesch has been an educator since 2008. Currently, she teaches English learners at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, VA. Melissa has experience working with high school English learner students in the technical and trade fields. She desires to cultivate an awareness of alternate career choices by increasing the exposure of careers in the trades for our local youth.
