From working with pregnant moms in need and their growing families, to the Girl Scouts, and as a substitute teacher and now a parent liaison in Loudoun County Public Schools, Erin has professionally and a volunteer, witnessed both the many services provided to families in Loudoun County and the needs that remain. Career counseling and educational opportunities for young people in professions that do not necessitate a college degree is one of those needs. TradeUp Loudoun was the idea that blossomed from recognizing that need. Erin is pursuing an M.Ed in Educational Psychology through the University of Virginia.

Christa Gibbs has a long standing interest in Education. While obtaining a Masters in International Transactions from George Mason University (GMU), Christa worked for GMU’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offices for 8 years. As the CPE Director of their Herndon office, Christa successfully identified professors and industry experts to offer professional development training programs marketed to the public as well as provided on-site training to private industry as well as non-profit and government organizations, such as Amtrak and NASA. She realized that the key to our region’s economic success was continued retraining of skill sets within each organization, both public and private, to remain current.  She recently worked for a local Montessori school.
